Progress one important variable at a time. Duration, intensity, technical difficulty, station load, open-water exposure and brick length all create stress; changing several together makes it hard to learn what helped and what exceeded recovery. Every three or four weeks, review whether easy work is still easy, key technique remains stable and the following week remains usable.
If one session is missed, leave it missed. If several days are lost, resume from current readiness. If a longer disruption removes the event-specific phase, choose a later event or revise the goal instead of stacking catch-up work.
Translate the official course into decisions
