Use the Kalamazoo route as a preview, then check the edition
The published marathon course page describes a Bronson Park start and finish and a route through Kalamazoo and Portage, including Waldo Stadium. It also contains maps labelled 2026 and schedule text that does not agree with the newer April 25, 2027 event announcement. Treat those maps as a course preview until the organizer supplies a consistent 2027 participant guide.
For preparation, mark the full-marathon route separately from the half and shorter events. The published information uses colour-coded mile signs, so learn the colour for your distance when the final guide arrives. A mile marker for another race should not change your pacing plan, and a group turning towards its own finish is not automatically following your course.
The older guide lists gels at selected stations rather than everywhere. It also highlights themed food stops. Build your fueling plan around familiar products and the current aid table, not around the assumption that every festive stop provides the food you practised with. Carry enough to bridge any gaps you identify once the new station list is confirmed.
If you use course clocks, know whether a display is showing elapsed time from the gun rather than your personal start. Keep your own elapsed-time reference for pacing, particularly if you cross the line after the first wave. Before booking a tight arrival or departure, resolve the date and collection schedule using the organizer's current 2027 communications. The older detailed page is useful for understanding the event, but its leftover Saturday label should not override the new edition's announcement.
