Wenatchee’s two Columbia River circuits and separate walker start
The riverfront route is shared across parts of several distances, so save the full-marathon instructions and identify the point where you continue for lap two. A half-marathon runner finishing beside you is not a cue to stop. Use official markers and your own lap count when watch distance differs slightly from the measured route.
The early walker start is a specific category arrangement, not an unrestricted extra training lap before the main race. Confirm eligibility and timing arrangements with the organizer if you intend to use it. Check the final support window for your start, including when aid stations open and close, rather than assuming every service runs identically for both groups.
The listed Friday collection is at Performance Footwear and Outdoor Gear, while Saturday collection is at the event centre near the Numerica Performing Arts Center. Those are different addresses on Wenatchee Avenue. Plan the correct stop and leave enough time to reach your starting group; the general Saturday collection window cannot be used as an arrival time for someone starting earlier.
The organizer describes the route as largely traffic free, but runners should still follow marshals and keep space for other participants on the paths. Familiar paved-path running is more relevant preparation than technical mountain trails despite the Cascade views. Review the current rules on strollers, pets and accompanying equipment before bringing anyone onto the course. Give supporters a meeting point away from the active finish area, and check the final riverfront access and parking instructions. Before departure, revisit the schedule after its stated revision period and compare the aid offerings with food and drink you have already used successfully in training.
