Separate the Casper start, finish and edition
The organizer's published course information currently describes the 2026 layout, starting at WYO Sports Ranch and finishing at Crossroads Park. The main site announces June 6, 2027 and describes the coming event as reimagined. Those two facts make the old map useful background, but not a promise that the next edition keeps every road, venue or service.
For now, make a two-location logistics plan with clearly provisional entries. Check where you would leave a vehicle, how runners reach the start, whether belongings travel to the finish, and how you would return afterwards. Once the 2027 athlete guide appears, replace those assumptions with its actual transport and baggage instructions. A start facility with indoor amenities does not tell you where post-race clothes will be available.
Build pacing notes from the new full-marathon profile when it is released. The older page's pacer information belongs to its stated edition, so do not depend on finding the same target-time group in 2027. Practise running your own effort and reading your own elapsed time even if you expect to join a pacer on the day.
For supporters, agree whether the priority is seeing the start or meeting at the finish. Moving between separate venues can take longer under event access restrictions than an ordinary map estimate suggests. Save the organizer's current start and finish addresses together with your entry confirmation, and check that the course certification information also applies to the edition you are running if a qualifying result is part of the goal.
