Two Burlington loops from Waterfront Park
Two loops make the halfway passage an important route decision. Follow the full-marathon continuation and keep track of your own distance even as relay runners change over or other participants finish. Passing the start and finish area does not mean it is time to increase effort sharply; another half of the marathon remains.
The organizer describes roughly ten miles of bike-path running beside Lake Champlain across the full race. Path width, turns and nearby runners can affect pace even where the terrain feels easy. Practise steady running and controlled passing, and use effort rather than sudden surges to handle congestion.
The current date page says registration prices include the RunSignup transaction charge. Read the category and optional extras before paying so that the visible total corresponds to your intended individual marathon entry. A relay place is a different commitment and does not provide an individual marathon result by itself.
The old 2026 race guide remains useful background for the event, but its collection windows, aid products and wave details require confirmation for 2027. Save the final guide when released and plan expo attendance, bag check and start access together. Waterfront accommodation can simplify one part of race morning, but it does not remove the need to check closures, collection deadlines and the permitted entrance to the start area.
