Bank-holiday Monday marathon with a StadiumMK finish
The official weekend programme is a useful reminder that this marathon is on Monday. Align hotel nights, work commitments and the journey home with that day. Sunday’s Rocket 5K is a separate race; entering it adds a pre-marathon effort that should fit your existing taper rather than happen by default.
The parks, lakes and boulevards describe the route’s setting, but the final full-marathon profile should determine hill preparation and pacing. Practise holding effort through turns and changes in exposure, and allow for aid stops rather than treating a continuous moving pace as a complete finish forecast.
The stadium finish creates a clear destination for supporters. Confirm the current spectator access and meeting arrangements, and agree on somewhere outside the finish flow to reunite. A pitch-side finish does not mean supporters can walk into every participant area or cross the active course.
A relay entry is not a full-marathon place for each team member. Match the correct event to the map and schedule you save. Recheck start-area access, bag collection and the final route close to race week; the confirmed Monday date is separate from those operating details.
