Sugarloaf’s confirmed date and the next registration release
A confirmed event date does not mean an entry has been secured. Watch the organizer’s registration release and select the full marathon before making a race-specific booking. Check whether capacity is allocated across distances and what the actual checkout terms permit; an old result link is not a registration route.
The organizer describes Sugarloaf as a USATF-certified qualifying course. If qualification is your goal, check the current course certificate and the destination race’s own qualifying rules, window and acceptance process. Running a qualifying time does not by itself guarantee a place in another event.
The linked older course map is useful for orientation, but it should remain a historical reference until the organizer confirms the 2027 route. Identify the full-marathon start, finish and transport requirements on the new instructions; the shorter race may use a different start even when both appear under one event heading.
Use the announced date to assess your available preparation time against current readiness. Once the athlete guide is released, add the actual collection schedule, supported time limit and aid arrangement to that plan. Check the mountain-valley forecast close to race day instead of treating a typical May temperature as a promise. Keep the registration confirmation and final route together, and give supporters the confirmed finishing location and access instructions rather than only the resort address.
