Two start locations, one Vlei Road finish
The two-start arrangement makes the exact entry assignment more important than a generic stadium address. Save your allocated start and permitted approach once seeding is released. Friends travelling together may need different assembly areas, so plan a meeting after the race rather than assuming a shared corral.
The FAQ lists a six-and-a-half-hour road-marathon limit and directs runners to the route map for intermediate cutoffs. The separate 43 km trail marathon has different rules and timing. Check the event name and surface on your entry before borrowing a cutoff, equipment list or transport plan.
The organizer currently lists 15 hydration stations and permits hydration packs, while prohibiting earphones and headphones. Review the final aid menu and practise the carrying setup you expect to use. Do not assume that an allowance or restriction for the Peace Runs also applies to the marathon.
The general 2027 ballot has closed. Charity and authorized travel-operator places have separate availability, and the FAQ says entries are not transferable. Use the official entry channels and current terms rather than buying another runner’s bib. The website’s runners portal is a separate account service and does not itself confirm a paid race place. Keep the assigned starting location in your race-morning notes.
