Hasetal’s two flat circuits and the lesson from its 2026 heat cancellation
The marathon repeats the main circuit twice, passing through the Werwer Fuhren forest and the surrounding Hase landscape. Study the current full-distance map for the continuation after the first circuit. Runners finishing a shorter category may leave the course while you still have another lap, so keep the marathon signs and your own lap count as the reference.
The town marketplace, Kurt-Schmücker-Platz, is the central event and finish area. Check the new start and bib-collection locations separately rather than assuming every activity takes place at the finish. Agree on a supporter meeting point that stays clear of runners and the event programme on the square.
The organizer’s 2026 report says temperatures around 35°C led to cancellation of the full marathon and later starts for the remaining races. That was a decision for that edition, not a permanent end to the full event. It also shows why a historical summer-evening timetable should not override race-week instructions when conditions change.
The site now announces the 2027 anniversary and open registration, while some brochures and route files still carry older years. Use the current full-marathon entry, final map and participant email to confirm start time, support window and aid arrangements. Plan familiar supplies and clothing for the actual forecast, and accept any organizer change to the race format or schedule. If the full marathon is your only goal, review the event’s published terms before booking and keep an alternative plan for a cancellation rather than attempting an unsupported extra lap.
