Official date status
Prince Edward Island Marathon is listed for October 18, 2026. This date refers to the race represented in this guide; other distances and expo activities may run on different days.
Official date information checked on 2026-10-18. This check covers the date status, not entry availability or final race operations.
Two Charlottetown loops from Province House
The opening route passes through Victoria Park beside Charlottetown Harbour, then follows Queen Elizabeth Drive and the North River through Brighton. Later sections reach the University of Prince Edward Island and the Confederation Trail before returning toward Province House via Royalty Junction and Malpeque Road.
Download the organizer’s September 2026 turn-by-turn document and the current interactive map. The full distance requires a second circuit, so identify the continuation point before following runners into the finish. Do not rely on an older point-to-point itinerary or another distance’s map.
The interactive map includes road restrictions. Use those to choose a supporter meeting and a practical walking approach to the start and finish. A downtown hotel address alone does not guarantee vehicle access on race morning, and a crossing open before the start may close while runners are on both loops.
The festival offers several running, walking and relay categories. Check the full-marathon timetable, kit collection and cutoff separately rather than borrowing details from the 15 km or half marathon. The next confirmed full race is still in 2026; the current site does not establish a 2027 date simply because the event has an annual history. For spectators, agree on whether a meeting is before or after the runner’s first loop to avoid a missed handoff.
