Porto Alegre’s Sunday marathon and separate Saturday half
The organizer’s homepage retains May 2026 dates and collection information, while the current 42nd-edition registration gives June 5–6, 2027. Use the full marathon’s Sunday programme when arranging travel. The Saturday half marathon and the two-day Desafio Gaúcho are different entries; entering the marathon alone does not require racing both days.
The 2027 kit schedule lists June 2–4 from 11:00 to 20:00 and June 5 from 11:00 to 19:00. Check your collection documents and any rules for someone collecting on your behalf. The linked authorisation form carries an older event identifier, so confirm that the organizer accepts the version you intend to use.
The programme asks participants to arrive at least 90 minutes before their scheduled start. With a 06:00 marathon, transport needs to work well before ordinary daytime services. The start venue is not yet specified in registration, so keep the arrival plan flexible and wait for the precise location before choosing an accommodation solely for proximity.
The organizer describes the waterfront, historic centre and city parks as features of the marathon setting. Use the final 2027 full-distance map for the actual route and aid layout; an embedded 2025 half-marathon track is not the current marathon course. Check the six-hour closure against your expected progress and familiar supply plan. Save the final participant email, collection confirmation and start instructions together, and share the correct Sunday finish arrangements with companions who may be racing the half on Saturday.
