Two granite-country laps with self-placed drop bags
The half marathon, marathon and double marathon use one, two and four full loops respectively. Keep a deliberate lap count and follow the signs for the 26.2-mile route at junctions where the shorter races split away. The same marking colour does not mean every runner ahead of you is following your distance.
The course combines meadows, rocky ground and climbing around the granite dome. Practise controlled movement on uneven surfaces and choose footwear for traction and comfort across both laps. Plan the second lap as a fresh navigation and effort check rather than assuming familiarity from the first lap eliminates the need to watch signs and footing.
Personal supplies can be placed at the start/finish area and an organizer-designated gate location on the long loop. The page gives approximate mile descriptions for that gate, so use its map and access instructions. You are responsible for placing and collecting your own bag; do not leave essential items expecting an organizer delivery service or supervised storage.
The schedule gives an 18:00 last-lap cutoff and 22:00 course closure, with additional aid-station gates in the chart. Check all applicable limits for your distance rather than using the headline closure alone. Toilets are at the race hub rather than along the course. Confirm the final support plan, carry what you need within the rules and arrange the retrieval of your supplies after finishing, including any bag left away from the main pavilion.
