Sunday’s full marathon within the May 1–2 weekend
The official 2027 event page lists Saturday’s family mile and children’s runs separately from Sunday’s marathon. Use May 2 for the training countdown, hotel nights and breakfast rehearsal. A calendar that reads only the festival’s opening date would move every training anchor one day early.
There are also distinct entry formats. The full marathon is 42.195 km for one runner, while 2Run divides the distance into two 21.0975 km legs. The pair category lists two full-marathon entries. Check the actual product in your registration rather than assuming every option with ‘marathon’ in its name represents the same workload or exchange logistics.
The organizer describes a route through Prague’s historic centre, but the downloadable course resources currently remain labelled 2026. Those files are useful for studying the previous route’s shape and preparing questions; they are not confirmation of every 2027 turn, aid station or road closure. Save the final edition’s map when it is published.
For the city-course rehearsal, practise steady effort through turns and crowded sections without sprinting to reclaim seconds. Arrange a finish meeting point from the participant guide and allow time for start-area access before 08:00. Recheck collection and transport instructions separately from the confirmed race date.
The current page’s sponsor name is Vodafone. Retaining this guide’s established address does not mean the older ORLEN label describes the new edition. Use the current organizer name and 2027 distance when searching for participant communications or checking an entry confirmation.
