Munnar’s 2027 weekend still needs a full-marathon timetable
The weekend banner includes several distances, including a separate 71 km ultra. Do not take the first day of the weekend, the ultra’s schedule or the old January start as the new full-marathon date. Obtain a current distance-specific programme before fixing travel and the final training countdown.
The older full-distance page lists a 06:00 start, an eight-hour limit and the High Altitude Training Center as the reporting point. These details are useful historical context only. Confirm the new venue, collection time and support rules when registration for the intended edition is clarified.
The page gives conflicting maximum-altitude figures of 1,750 and 1,850 metres. Avoid building a precise elevation profile from those numbers; use the final route and profile instead. The changing gradients and unpaved sections are more reliable reasons to prepare for varied footing and hills than a single unresolved altitude figure.
Check the current entry criteria before paying and keep any required previous-race evidence ready for bib collection. A general welcome message does not override category-specific eligibility. Confirm what transport, accommodation and aid are actually included in the chosen entry, especially if you are arriving from outside Munnar. Use familiar shoes and carrying equipment on comparable terrain during preparation, and review the final station spacing before deciding what to carry. Give companions the exact collection and finish locations rather than only the town name. The organizer’s old measurement statement dates to 2016 and does not establish that a changed 2027 route has the same certificate. Keep the next full-marathon day pending until the new programme resolves the mixed-year information.

These details identify the race page; they do not establish the next edition's operations. The previous race date does not establish the next edition. Wait for the organizer’s announcement before committing to a race-day schedule.
