A Sunday road marathon finishing inside the Glass Bowl
Use the full-marathon map when reviewing access, the course and the stadium approach. The finish is not simply the nearest road beside the start: allow for the final route into the Glass Bowl. Save the current map and agree on a post-race meeting place outside the controlled finish area so spectators do not need to enter the runners’ chute.
The organizer describes the cutoff as enforced, with course support and traffic control ending according to the schedule. Include aid stops in a realistic finish estimate and read the current instructions for runners directed off the supported course. Choosing a faster pace group cannot compensate for preparation that does not support that pace.
The Saturday 5K and any multi-race challenge are optional additions with separate schedules. Entering the marathon does not make an extra race part of a necessary taper. Choose the weekend that fits your current capacity and recovery, and confirm which bib or collection arrangement applies if you intentionally enter more than one event.
Check the final parking, packet collection and start-corridor information before race week. A 06:30 start requires a practical arrival plan that leaves room for queues, toilets and reaching the correct corral. Use the published full-distance aid locations to rehearse a nutrition plan, then make final clothing and pacing choices from the current forecast and organizer alerts.
