Airport start and downtown Rochester finish
The full-marathon start and downtown finish need separate transport planning. The registration information describes shuttles to the airport-area start. Confirm the final boarding point and departure window before choosing accommodation or a race-morning parking plan. An address near the finish does not make the start walkable.
The organizer expressly carries the 2026 course maps forward to 2027, while warning that permitting changes will be communicated. That is stronger evidence than assuming an old map remains valid. Download the final full-distance version before race week and check updates, especially where country roads join the river trails and the downtown approach.
Some logistics on the marathon page still refer to 2026, including a registration-change deadline and a packet-pickup line describing Saturday, May 16. May 16, 2027 is Sunday. The race date is clear, but that collection appointment needs correction or confirmation; do not silently move it to another day when arranging your arrival.
The six-hour limit should be assessed against a pace you can sustain including aid stops, rather than a best-case moving pace. Practise the transition from open roads to narrower trails without surging around others. Choose the individual full-marathon category carefully: relay, 20-mile and Back2Back entries have different obligations, and the Saturday 5K is optional rather than a required preparation session.
