Run from Terneuzen to Hulst on Saturday
The distinction between the running and walking days affects travel, entry and support. Choose the individual running marathon on Saturday unless you intend to enter the separate walking event. The organizer’s individual-race table explicitly gives April 10, although one older late-entry line still says April 11. Resolve any inconsistent checkout wording with the organizer before paying.
The route begins beside the Westerschelde, passes the Otheense creek and continues through woodland toward Hulst’s historic ramparts. Wind exposure and changes between paved and unpaved surfaces make effort a better guide than a rigid pace on every kilometre. Include comfortable running on similar firm paths in preparation and choose footwear after checking the final surface conditions.
This is a point-to-point race, so solve the journey between the two towns before choosing where to leave a car. Organizer transport to the start is an additional booking, not something to assume is included in the entry. Confirm its departure point and timing, then allow enough time for collection, toilets and the walk to the start after arrival.
The final route map and GPX are still to be published. Use the described corridor to understand the event, then replace any saved older route when the current map becomes available. Relay teams use the same general course but start later; their transport and changeover arrangements do not apply automatically to an individual runner. Arrange a post-race meeting in Hulst that remains accessible after road closures.
