Royan’s two coastal loops and compulsory advance bib collection
The main course page contains a conflicting May 16 heading and an older 07:00 line. The organizer’s active Klikego entry and the race-details panel agree on May 23 at 07:15. Use that confirmed category listing and then recheck the final participant email, rather than choosing a time from an isolated sentence.
The first circuit passes Foncillon and Pontaillac toward Vaux-sur-Mer, returns along the coast and continues toward Saint-Georges-de-Didonne. Full-marathon runners repeat the circuit while the half-marathon distance finishes after one. Learn the continuation point and count your own laps; the beachfront finish is close enough to the action that following another runner without checking their category could send you the wrong way.
The registration page gives adult collection on Friday from 14:00 to 19:00 and Saturday from 09:30 to 19:00, with no Sunday collection. Save the QR code and required identification, including the appropriate document if someone collects on your behalf. Check any postal-bib option through your booking before assuming it replaces the in-person visit.
The course page lists aid approximately every five kilometres and identifies medical support near the turnarounds. Use the final map to plan familiar supplies and supporter access. Verify that your licence or PPS has been accepted in your registration account rather than relying only on the payment receipt. Give companions the start, collection and finish locations separately, and agree on a meeting point clear of runners beginning their second loop.
