Boucles Ardennaises’ technical 42 km through the Ourthe valley
This is a trail marathon with substantial climbing, not a flat road race. The organizer’s full-course description includes descending slopes and water crossings as well as uphill sections. Practise moving on comparable terrain and review current conditions before choosing shoes or setting a finish target. Do not apply the half marathon’s lower climbing figure to the full route.
The existing event base is the sports complex at the Athénée Royal in La Roche-en-Ardenne. Confirm that the new participant instructions retain the same arrival point, and allow time to find the correct full-distance start. The published process uses an individual email with a bib number and start information, so keep that message accessible.
The organizer asks participants to use reusable cups and describes water, fruit and other supplies. Check the final aid map and products before deciding what to carry between stations. The route goes through forest and working farms; follow the marked course, keep wrappers with you and use only permitted supporter access.
The new June 5 announcement appears alongside older June 6, 2026 programme details. Treat the date as announced while waiting for the 2027 collection schedule, entry terms, start time and cutoff. In particular, the old Friday collection window and entry prices should not drive a new travel booking. Save the current full-marathon map when released and discuss water-crossing or route changes with the organizer if they affect your suitability for the event.
