A 19:00 start changes meals, transport and the finish-night plan
The 2027 marathon page lists a shared 19:00 start for the full marathon, half marathon and team relay. A late start makes your daytime meals and return transport part of race preparation. Rehearse familiar food timing around an evening run within normal training, rather than arriving at the start after a day of sightseeing and unfamiliar meals.
Packet collection is at LUXEXPO THE BOX on Friday, May 7, 11:00–20:00 or Saturday, May 8, 10:00–16:00. Bring valid photo identification. The Saturday collection window ends three hours before the race starts, so an evening race does not mean you can arrive shortly before 19:00 and still collect your number.
The six-hour limit extends the supported race into the following night. Check the final finish access and transport timetable for the time you realistically expect to complete the course. Choose a clear supporter meeting point and keep a post-race layer accessible through the permitted bag arrangements.
The organizer permits a marathon entrant to finish the half-marathon distance under its rules, but a half-marathon entry does not authorize running the full. Read the final route split and any classification consequences before relying on that option. The timing chip is part of the bib, so follow the instructions for wearing it and use the final course map rather than an old saved route. Confirm the last available public-transport departures for your expected finish time.
