Osmotherley is not listed in the current Hardmoors 26.2 programme
Do not take a date from the next visible Hardmoors event and assign it to Osmotherley. Each named race has its own venue, route and support rules. A date for White Horse or Wainstones does not establish a new Osmotherley start, even if parts of the broader moorland trail network overlap.
The absence of the older name from the current series is a status limitation, not proof of permanent cancellation. Ask the organizer whether an Osmotherley edition or explicitly named successor is planned before making race-specific travel arrangements. A general series entry page is not a substitute for a current event listing.
If you select another Hardmoors race, read that event’s full-distance instructions rather than reusing an old Osmotherley map or cutoff. The 26.2 brand does not promise that every trail course is exactly 26.2 miles; some are longer and have substantial climbing. Compare the actual distance, ascent and intermediate gates with your preparation.
The series explains that routes are not taped or signed throughout and that participants are responsible for navigation. For an active race, practise using its current printed route description and map, and check the event-specific mandatory kit. Do not assume the same clothing, water or torch rules apply identically to every season and distance. Confirm collection, parking and the correct village venue through the participant message. While waiting for information about Osmotherley, keep training adaptable and avoid calculating a final taper from a historical month. Choose a currently announced event if your travel dates are fixed, and retain this older listing as a clear status reference rather than a promise of a supported race.

These details identify the race page; they do not establish the next edition's operations. The previous race date does not establish the next edition. Wait for the organizer’s announcement before committing to a race-day schedule.
