Lake Michigan, crushed granite and the Park Avenue finish
The official site confirms June 19, 2027. The full course leaves Park Avenue, passes the Mushroom Houses and South Pier Lighthouse, and continues along Lake Michigan toward the airport and Fisherman’s Island State Park. Use the full-marathon map rather than a shorter race’s turnaround, since several distances share the event.
The crushed-granite section and woodland out-and-backs make footwear and turning comfort useful preparation checks. Practise on a comparable permitted surface within your normal training, and avoid assuming that a generally flat route means every step has the same feel as smooth city asphalt.
The course page lists aid approximately every 1.5 miles and a 13:00 cutoff. It describes sidewalk finishing and reporting a time afterward, but that is not the same as a fully supported closed course. Check the final 2027 rules and start time to understand exactly what happens if you fall behind the official schedule.
Spectators are instructed to stay behind the Park Avenue barriers and avoid private property. Choose meeting and viewing points from the organizer’s spectator guide rather than entering the finish lane. The page also contains detailed transfer and refund conditions; read the actual terms attached to your entry before assuming that an included protection product permits every cancellation. Confirm your post-finish transport before race morning.
