Miyun: use the revised 2026 route as history, not a 2027 promise
The district’s preparation report identifies the full-marathon turnaround near the Nanshiluotuo auxiliary dam at Miyun Reservoir, while the half-marathon turnaround was on Jinxi Road. This distinction matters when following a map or a group of runners. Use the route for your entered distance, not a general festival diagram.
The official notice gives a precise road junction for the event location. Save that location and the final access instructions before departure; a broad Beijing or Miyun district map pin is not enough for a morning arrival. Regular bus routes listed on an event page may change during road closures, so confirm race-day service rather than relying on ordinary schedules.
The 2026 tourism programme included attractions and accommodation suggestions, but those offers are separate from the race route and entry. A recommended sightseeing location is not necessarily a point on the marathon course. Confirm any new offers and eligibility directly before building a travel itinerary around them.
Prepare from the final course profile once it is issued. The reservoir setting does not by itself prove a flat course, a particular wind direction or a fixed temperature. Practice a sustainable effort with familiar supplies, then adjust race-day expectations to the actual forecast and organizer notices. Check the next edition’s collection venue, identity requirements, baggage procedure and start access; a completed edition’s arrangements should not be presented as current. The organizer’s site provides separate rules, collection and route sections, some as images, so read the full participant material rather than only the homepage date. Keep a new 2027 taper and non-refundable travel plans pending until the named Miyun marathon date and your distance are officially announced.

These details identify the race page; they do not establish the next edition's operations. The previous race date does not establish the next edition. Wait for the organizer’s announcement before committing to a race-day schedule.
