Baku’s change to a full-distance route in 2026
Older accounts of Baku Marathon may refer to a shorter distance, despite using the same event name. Check the actual kilometre category in the announcement and entry you intend to use. A historical half-marathon map or finishing time should not be treated as evidence about the newer full-distance route.
The published 2026 route leaves State Flag Square, follows central waterfront and city roads, then continues towards Sea Breeze. Start and finish are therefore different destinations. Confirm the next edition’s map and transport services before deciding where to stay, leave a vehicle or arrange a meeting with supporters.
The organizer’s displayed registration window has already passed. Its presence online is not proof that entry for another edition is open. Use a newly dated announcement or obtain clarification through the official contact channel before paying through a third-party listing or booking race-specific travel.
Once the next full-distance race is confirmed, review its supported time limit, aid layout and route restrictions against current readiness. Prepare for the actual course rather than deriving a finish target from the old shorter event. Give supporters the confirmed finish-access plan and arrange how you will return from Sea Breeze if that endpoint is retained. Keep the final athlete guide and entry confirmation together so an older date, collection location or road plan does not slip into the new schedule.

These details identify the race page; they do not establish the next edition's operations. The previous race date does not establish the next edition. Wait for the organizer’s announcement before committing to a race-day schedule.
