Armed Services Marathon repeats the out-and-back from the stadium
The full marathon is two repetitions of the out-and-back, not one continuous point-to-point journey. Learn the turnaround, return to the stadium area and continuation onto the second repetition from the current map. Half-marathon runners may finish while you continue, so use the full-distance markings and your own lap count.
The repeated layout allows supporters to see runners more than once without attempting to follow every kilometre by car. Agree on a permitted viewing point and a separate post-finish meeting place. Keep the stadium track and the route’s turnaround clear for runners still racing, and check any access restrictions in the final guide.
The 2026 registration listed an 08:00–14:00 marathon window. That older six-hour schedule and the 2025 athlete guide should not be presented as a confirmed 2027 timetable. Wait for the next named registration and current participant instructions before arranging travel or selecting an early-start option mentioned in older material.
The race honours military branches and first responders, with themed aid stations described by the organizer. Check the current station products and locations before relying on a particular drink or food. Use the full-marathon profile to prepare for the rolling sections, even if the course is promoted as fast. Before booking, confirm the next date, certified route relevant to your goal, collection location and supported cutoff together. A projected date on an external calendar is not enough to establish the new edition while the organizer’s own entry still shows 2026.
