Britannia Park swim to a downtown Ottawa finish
The official date is August 8, 2027. The swim starts at Britannia Park, while the finish is downtown near the Château Laurier. Treat those as separate transport destinations and check the final T1 and T2 maps. A hotel near the finish may still require an organised early journey to the river start.
The course page describes a closed-road 180 km ride with mild elevation changes and 2.75 loops. A partial lap makes counting by repeated landmarks less obvious than three identical circuits. Study the official map’s first section and final transition turn before race day, and keep your own lap record rather than following another athlete.
The bike preview passes landmarks including Parliament Hill and the Supreme Court before quieter open sections. Prepare a steady riding effort and equipment setup you can sustain across both city turns and longer exposed roads. A comparatively gentle profile does not make a full-distance bike leg suitable for an unprepared rider.
The marathon finishes at Major’s Hill Park. Choose a reunion point beyond the finish controls and allow time for bag and bike collection before onward travel. The course maps are subject to change, so the final athlete guide should supply the authoritative access, cutoff and aid-station details for 2027.
