Regatta swim, two bike loops and three park laps
The official race page gives August 29, 2027. The detailed preview places the 1.9 km swim in Sportpark Duisburg’s regatta course. A basin with clear visual landmarks can help orientation, but the actual buoy arrangement, rolling-start procedure and water rules still need the final athlete guide.
The bike uses two loops toward Moers via the Bridge of Solidarity. The organizer explicitly says the course is fully closed to car traffic only on race day. A reconnaissance ride must follow normal traffic rules and should not assume that a downloaded race GPX is a safe unrestricted training route.
The run completes three laps through the park beside the regatta course. Plan a reliable lap-count method and identify the finish split before racing. Repeated spectator and aid areas are useful landmarks, but they should not prompt a surge each time you pass; keep your effort appropriate to the full 21.1 km after the bike.
The current transition instructions use a blue bike bag and red run bag, with relay exchange areas separate from individual racks. Read the instructions for your own entry type and rehearse the order of equipment changes. The maps remain subject to change, so use the final 2027 layout for bag placement, mount and dismount lines, and any required penalty stop.
