Protect sleep opportunity around both training modes

Eight experienced male hybrid athletes were monitored after two resistance and two endurance sessions. Across the observed nights, total sleep time was about 6.6 hours; sleep onset and wake-after-sleep-onset patterns differed by the preceding training mode.

The useful action is not to chase a sleep-stage score. Schedule adequate sleep opportunity, note whether late or demanding sessions repeatedly delay sleep or fragment the night, and move or reduce the responsible dose when the pattern persists. Judge changes over several comparable nights alongside how you feel and train.

This was a very small, male-only observational sample covering four post-training nights per athlete. It cannot establish a universal recovery rule or prove that one session type caused the sleep pattern. Read the protocol in the PubMed record.
